Terms & Disclaimer

Acceptance of terms

By using 3D Printing Calculator Hub, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site.

Intended use of the site

This site provides free calculators and reference tools for 3D printing — covering cost and pricing, filament math, and printer calibration. It's intended for hobbyists, makers, small print businesses, and anyone else working with FDM/FFF 3D printers who wants a quick, transparent way to run these numbers.

Calculator accuracy

We design our calculators using documented formulas and explain the calculation method on each calculator page. However, results depend on the accuracy of the inputs and assumptions used. We can't verify the values you enter, and typos or incorrect assumptions will produce incorrect results.

Estimates and assumptions

Many results on this site — production cost, selling price, print time, flow limits — are estimates built from the inputs and assumptions you provide or accept as defaults. Default values, such as material densities or printer power draw, are general approximations and may not reflect your specific equipment or materials. Where a default is used instead of your own measured value, treat the result as directional rather than exact — see our About & Methodology page for how we label the difference.

3D printer calibration disclaimer

The calibration calculators (E-Steps, Rotation Distance, Steps/mm, Volumetric Flow) apply standard, documented calibration formulas to numbers you provide from your own measurements. They do not connect to, read from, or write to your printer or firmware in any way — you are responsible for measuring your test values accurately and for entering any resulting settings into your printer or firmware yourself. Always verify calculated settings against the documentation for your specific printer, firmware, and hardware before applying them.

User responsibility

You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any value — a cost figure, a calibration setting, a print time estimate — before relying on it or applying it to real hardware, a real print job, or a real business decision. This matters especially for calibration values, which directly affect how your printer moves and extrudes.

No professional/engineering guarantee

Nothing on this site is professional engineering, mechanical, financial, tax, or legal advice. The cost and pricing calculators are general planning tools, not accounting or tax guidance — consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your business or jurisdiction. The calibration calculators are general-purpose reference tools, not a substitute for your printer or firmware manufacturer's documentation or support channels.

Third-party links

This site may link to third-party websites (such as firmware documentation or slicer software) for reference. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability.

Affiliate disclosure framework

We do not currently participate in any affiliate programs, and no links on this site are currently affiliate links. If that changes in the future, affiliate links will be clearly identified, and we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you.

Intellectual property

The site's original design, branding, software implementation, and written content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. The underlying mathematical formulas used in the calculators are standard, publicly documented 3D printing calculations (for example, the extrusion calibration formula and the volumetric flow relationship) — we don't claim ownership of the mathematics itself, only of our specific implementation, explanations, and presentation of it.

Availability / changes to the site

We may add, remove, or change calculators, formulas, defaults, or site features at any time. We don't guarantee the site will be available at all times or free of errors.

Limitation of liability

This site and its calculators are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site or its calculators — including decisions made or hardware settings changed based on a calculator's output. You should independently verify important results before relying on them.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the site evolves. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision.
